Internationally acclaimed researcher, author, photographer and filmmaker Janet Ossebaard presents scientific evidence of the global crop circle phenomenon.

In 1994 I became involved in the crop circle phenomenon, after visiting a formation near Assen (in the north of the Netherlands), not far from where I lived at that time. From 1995 onward, I spent all my summer vacations in South England, the 'cradle' of the phenomenon. I visited and examined all the formations that appeared while I was there: hundreds of them. Of all the formations that I examined over the years (in England, the Netherlands and Germany) I mainly focussed on taking samples for biophysical research, taking photographs, and mapping out anomalies: strange things such as the presence of anomalous substances, and bent, twisted or torn off stems and seed heads.

I worked with Bert Janssen producing three crop circle video documentaries. In 1996 "Crop Circles, What On Earth Is Going On?" appeared. In 1998 "Crop Circles, The Research" (with an update in 2000), and in 2001 "Contact" was launched, which won an EBE-Award as best ufo-related video documentary during the conference and film festival at Laughlin, Nevada (USA).

In 2000 my book "Crop Circles, A Worldwide Mystery" was published. It gave a colourful impression of the many facets of the crop circle phenomenon.

I participated in the production of "The Silbury Hole Enigma" (2001), another video documentary of Bert Janssen. In the summer of 2002, I participated in a research project set up by the University of Utrecht (the Netherlands), examining newly formed crop formations by means of infra-red thermografy.

Also in 2002, I won the Frontier Award - together with fellow researcher Bert Janssen - for my work in the frontier sciences in the Netherlands. In 2004 I was nominated once again for this award.

Furthermore I am chairperson of the DCCCS (Dutch Centre for Crop Circle Studies). For several years now I have been giving lectures in my own country and abroad about the crop circle phenomenon, and I give crop circle workshops in which I focus on the interaction between the circles and the human mind.

She wrote the book Crop Circles - A Worldwide Mystery (published in 2000), she participated in a research project set up by the Dutch University of Utrecht (examining newly formed crop formations by means of infra-red thermography), she won the Dutch Frontier Award for her crop circle work (2002) and is an active member of the DCCCS (Dutch Centre for Crop Circle Studies). She now is producing her next book, that will be published this autumn. For several years now Janet has been giving lectures and workshops about the crop circle phenomenon, both in her own country and abroad. She set up the Dutch foundation called Circular Site, in which she currently works full-time.
